From the creative minds of Steve Newcomb and Roman Albert comes an intimate, live, and improvised experience.
The audience is invited to share brief anonymous written responses, inspired by prompts that seek to uncover a spectrum of human stories, to which Conscious Bird then weaves an improvised musical performance in rhythm, texture, melody, and lyricism.
Featuring award-winning pianist Steve Newcomb alongside nationally celebrated poet and MC Roman Albert, Conscious Bird weaves sonic canvases with co-created themes between musician and audience to fill the soul and ears with beauty, connection, and reflection.
Inspired by new wave sounds, progressive jazz composition, and poetic intuition, audiences are invited to take flight and softly land with the curious presence of a duo unlike any other.
